Hi all what are your thoughts on Ruger 6.5 creemore ? I think it's a enhanced model.

I want it for range, fox Control and occasional deer stalking.

I'd appreciate some feed back, cheers Nick

I have a RPR in .308 It's heavy, I'm not sure you'd want to carry out around for long but for a range they are superb for the price.

There will always be a compromise when trying to get a rifle to cover multi disciplines

If you want it 60% range 30% foxing & 10% stalking then you'll probably be fine with an RPR

I have one in 6.5CM. I love it. Accurate and robust. Dont tbink I would want to hump it around all day though.

Cheers everyone, 70% range, 10% deer stalking and 20% vermin.

Definitely low land stalking, No enthusiasm for hill stalking.

Cheers Nick

Haven't checked out the enhanced models features properly but I don't remember seeing anything standout I'd probably opt for the first generation.

Agree with the rest Heavy for Stalking and vermin. Gen 2 comes with a muzzle break so you'll be paying for that rather than the MOD that you would want for vermin or stalking.

There's a 6.5 RPR (Gen 1) on here at a bargain price - surprised it's not been snapped up already

Agreed, I only use mine for target shooting (but it is lighter than the AI). I wouldn't want to carry it too far.
