More AR10 Awesomeness

I picked this up last week from the friend of a friend, and as it's already slotted down the left it was ideal for me.

This used to belong to Baldie and it was Dave who put the DD rail on it. and is the one linked at the bottom of the other thread

Anyway I had plans, cut it to 16.75" in keeping with the current trend for carbine length sharpshooting rifles (LMT, KAC SR-25 ECR, HK G28 etc)

Change the stock to a Vitor Emod I happen to have, fit a Geissele Hi Speed NM trigger and a MOE grip.

The last part proved challenging as a .223 grip won't fit a .308 receiver. It leaves a gap under the beavertail, so I filled it with Devcon and shaped it.

The slot was lengthened for one of the new handles and the existing 10mm hole was plugged and redialled and tapped 6mm

Full strip and blast and the paint is in keeping with KACs Taupe colour. My version is 50/50 Multicam Green and Troy Coyote tan.

I had the US Optics scope knocking around and it sits in a ADM 3" Recon mount, all parts colour matched.

All in it took 2 1/2 full days to complete

I have the 6.5 creedmoor barrel for that rifle, sat on the barrel shelf Mark. All you would have to do is pop the barrel extension back on. It shot well.

I am not into AR's but if I were it would have to look like that,it does look very good bradders.great job
