Tikka 260
Here you go, done the search for you Lovely looking knife wouldn't mind it myself. £255 is that dear or not, depends how much you want it................... http://stainthorpknives.co.uk/available.html Guy just finished 2 knives for me , a traditional stalking knfe and a tripe knife; kind of 65th birthday presents to myself. They are both in RWL-34 steel cryo tempered, Arizona Ironwood scales to my own preferred blade shape. I cannot speak highly enough of Guys skills and knowledge, the whole process of design, build, and eventual use has been a delight. I have dismembered 2 roe, and gralloched 2 fallow this week and the blades are still fit to shave with. If you decide to go custom knives, then Guy is right at the the top of the game, IMHO. Here is a "Bushcraft" from Guy .... RWL 34 and Micarta scales and here is the pair of "Deer Knives" described above. Not inexpensive, I hasten to add, but quality usually costs a few quid in my experience. Just my 2 pence worth

iancxx
hiya,i think he mainly uses 01 steel, though he may use other,s,01 is good stuff, ive used it,and done thousand,s of bunnies with mine and the one i have of jes,a quick wipe, and good as new,and hold there edge well, most of the top knife makers in the country use the 01 tool steel, and boy do they make some cracking knifes, and most of them are used on a daily basis, plenty info about on the web, well of for my tea,,ian
digger9523
I had Guy Stainthorp out stalking last year at the end of the Roe buck season. Was doing him a walk through-talk through gralloch and he got some hands on. The upshot of his experience was that he went away and designed this for me: Done a Red spiker, couple of Muntjac and a Roe doe with it so far. Loverly knife, grippy when wet, easily cleaned and sterilised. Came with a Kydex sheath as well. It's in RWL34 and black canvas micarta. This prototype was a gift, but i asked what price it would be if any stalking guests asked me, £270 for one as per mine. He's a nice bloke Guy, good shot and keen to get into stalking a bit more regular now.

matchking
Hi Colin, Hope you are well. What I am looking for is a stalking/bushcraft knife in RWL34 steel with a Micarta handle. Can your engineer help? Cheers, George Another vote for Guy Stainthorp. He is good bloke to deal with and will make almost anything with in reason. He made a knife for me last year and is just about to finish another one for me. It is the same knife as number 3 on his gallery, With orange and black micarta handle, RWL34 Steel, A Kydex sheaf and A leather dangler sheaf. I can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it. The down side is i finish on the deer at the end of the month so won't really have chance to try it til next August. Regards Sean

digger9523
Got this one going spare if it suits you? It's in 154CM stainless steel and has Rose wood scales with stainless bolts. Needs a sheath, but i always wait out with those till i know if it's going to a left or right handed user. £300 all in, and if you ever destroy the edge you're welcome to send it back for a tidy up.
