22/250 foxer
There are four reticle types available http://www.meoptasportsoptics.com/shop/us/6-18x50/meopro-6-18x50/ctgRus.html , the mildot seemed reasonable. yes i had the plex. ret. it is very fine. i didnt think the glass was anything special. it is clear but not zeiss conquest clear. and on full mag you can really see difference in the both. bigyin
I have a conquest 4.5-14 x 50 with target turrets , got it new for 20 quid less than your budget and compared to anything else I've had at similar price the Zeiss wins hands down
Big Al
Sorry I should have said it was the BDC reticule which I thought was too thick, can't say for the others as Ive not seen them. I also didn't think the glass was as good as a Vortex Viper and the turrets were no where near as good.
ChrisF
It maybe a bit dearer , BUT I would reccomend the Bushy LRHS the 4-18x44mm jobbie , I use the older 3-12x44mm LRHS on my CZ527 Hornet , and have used it out to over 325yds so far , and its a little big for such a small rifle , BUT it is very good glass & good dial up , and so with more power the 18x newer model would be a good option to at least consider . happyhunter
zeiss conquest 6x20x50 +1 Have one on my t3 lite in .223, makes for a superb lightweight vermin outfit and the glass is excellent.
sion
I've got a vortex viper 6.5-20x50 on my cz .204. Great scope for £330 ish so you've got some change for decent mounts. I went for third eye ones and the set up is superb for what I use it for.i.e. corvids and foxes. Shame you're so far away or you could have look through mine and see for yourself how good vortex scopes are.
Alycidon
Used Ziess, will serve you well to 300 yards and be light to carry, On page 4 here http://www.rmacleod.co.uk/CUSTOMER%20S_H%20STOCK%20LIST.pdf There is a Ziess Diavari C 3 x 9 x 36, a shade over budget agreed but there is probably a deal to be done. I use 2 of these scopes, optically they outperform ANYTHING else I have EVER put against them in low light. In low light waiting for an adult to come into some cubs you may well get a shot at very last light. The Ziess will give you an additional 20 minutes shooting over a Luepold VX3 and Sightron I put it up against. Mine are both German build with plex rets, there are so I am told better than the later US built ones and the ret is better than the light croshair A
