Vermincinerator
Myself and my mate have been asked to shoot any mink we come across on a new permission. Do mink come under the heading of "vermin" in your FAC conditions or do they need to be listed seperately like fox. Thanks Ian.
Scotch_egg
I believe that mink fall in to the vermin catagory along with brown rats, grey squirrels, stoats, and rabbits.

Alycidon
Vermin for sure, you will find that they never stand still though, low mag scope settings really as distance is rarely an issue. They can take a bit of killing though, I have shot a few with a .22LR semi and they normally got a few as you shoot them on the run. Your HMR should do a one shot job though. Gandy
be careful though mate they have a nasty mouth full of teeth, make sure they are dispatched before handling. not trying to teach granny how to suck eggs or anything though. eldon
Yes wise words from Gandy. One that I shot I skinned it, what a pain that was, very oily so hard to keep hold of. Probably better doing it whilst its warm if that is you intention. When I skinned the head back to look at the teeth they really could do some damage. Very challenging and a tough little critter. Zaitsev
If you get otters in the area you may not need to shoot them. Getting reports of mink turned inside out and theres not much that will do that. 20 odd pounds of pissed off otter will though! g
