Well it has come round again,,, The famous diggle egg shoot,,,,

This has to be one of the best shoots in the year!!!!!

A Gopher target with a scoring ring on the head ( highest points)

And a bigger scoring ring on the body

Three shots at 100yrds

Three at 300yrds

Three at 500yrds

Then the targets are brought in during dinner for you to have a look at your score,,,,

Then after dinner you go back out to 500 yards for one shot at a chickens egg,,,,

The lucky person that braeks the egg wins 100 pounds

Fantastic day out ,,,,

Darrel :P

Guys,

Yes, it was a great day - thanks to all who turned up to shoot and help out. Although Darrell didn't win, he did get small-group award at 300 yards with a sub half-inch group!

Cheers

Vince

Cheers Vince, As always it was a bloody good day out,,,

Fantastic comp and well run by your self,,,, :D

My 300yrd group

Good chance to test out our drop data for the 6.5x47 calibre that my self and andy shoot,,,,

Elevation was bob on althrough the comp, the only problem was that funny wind blowing in your face from eleven o-clock, blowing from 5 to 9 mph ;)

I believe that 19 shooters missed the target at the 500 yrd stage????

Andy had a nice group at 500 of around an inch,, Well done my mate,,,,

Thanks Vince,,,,,, Speak soon, Darrel

Had a pleasant surprise this morning ! Chris came in with this target, and told me he had come joint first in the egg shoot.

Check out the groups. The bottom one in 3 rounds in 0.9 " at 500 yards !

This was with a .260 rem i rebarrelled for him a couple of weeks ago. Remington action, and a border archer barrel.

I,m gonna keep a copy of this picture in the shop to show the next ###### that tells me archers are no good. :)

Dave,

No - don't tell me it was an Archer!! Well done though - you smithed an accurate rifle.

For the record, three eggs were scrambled - by Chris Vaux, John Dean (of Aimfield Sports) and Les Holgate. Full results on the www.ukbra.co.uk site under 'News, links and competitons'.

I made a point of photographing every shooter and I can supply a CD (with about 150 shots on it) for a fiver - all procedes to Help for Heros.

BTW - if you missed the Egg Shoot don't miss the Diggle Fly Shoot on August 15th
