Toby
Well after 3 years of trying in Norway,Sweden,Scotland and Devon and Cornwall it all finally came together this weekend. I was paying a return visit to my mate Alan in Sweden.Last year I had 4 3hr sessions in his highseats and saw .... sweet f.a. I was hoping that this year would be different.Luckily on my third session in the seat I managed to shoot my first beast, a little spikey buck.To say that I was happy is an understatement. He dropped straight down with a shot from the 308 Special thanks to Alan, and also to the others that have tried to put me onto a deer over the years-ATB Toby

njc110381
Nice shooting! It's taken you a while to get your first by the sound of things. I bet you're really pleased to have finally got something? As the others have said, now the first is over with the next will be easier. As soon as the fridge has space, good luck for your next one. I hope you get your next chance a bit more quickly than this one came along!

njc110381
Toby. You say you can hunt with dogs soon? Is that using them to catch the Deer or to drive them to the guns? I don't know how you go about things in Norway

Toby
Hi Njc, that would be using short legged dogs(teckels and bassets)to slowly flush the deer to the waiting shooters.Shotgun only on the ground that we shoot. One from last year(shot by a mate)
