Ronin
Yes its a good coating. Does exactly what its supposed to do, it does wear in places - just like blueing does (such as bolt raceways). Kaleiderscope on here is an approved Duracoat finisher and ive had several rifles finished by him, always decent service and no issues with any of the jobs done. ejg223
After all duracoat is paint, it will only perform well if all preperation is done well. No short cuts. Curing time is also important. A few weeks recomended. I prefer to stick a feshly sprayed item into a curing oven at 50 - 60 C over night, then add a week at room temp and the paint is about right. Especially the tactical range paint will smoothen with wear and soak up oils and gets better and better. Some say the wear resistance of ceracoat is better than duracoat, I have both on a rifle and can't tell much of a difference. Rub any of these paints hard against a sharp stone and it will scratch. edi
