varminter Posted May 12, 2009 Report Share Posted May 12, 2009 Was out on a varminting trip with bobtail and was using the parker Hale TX1200 this weekend , while we was out we had a wonderful surprise when 2 Roebucks showed!!! we had a bit of a job to try and get onto them ( they was moving around continuously around the fields ) but it all came right for us when one of them paused long enough for bobtail to get a shot!!! The other Roebuck decided to hang around so i shot this one!!!! What a fantastic start - bobtail shot his first buck and i managed to bag the other!! :lol: I was so happy i could witness bobtail get his first Roebuck too!!! After dealing with the carcases we had a break ready for the early evening varminting session - but thats another story!! All the best............ RAY....................................... :D Thanks Ray it was a pleasure to christen the Parker Hale for you,,, much appreciated..... and i got to admit it impresses me too with its performance. Thanks for the comments lads but my biggest thanks is to the farmer for letting us shoot his land and to Ray for letting me have my first roe, im glad that i done my job correctly as the animal dropped on the spot which was my biggest worry that i would not place the shot in the right spot but it did and it turn out to be a fantastic day and certainly one to remember for along time to come.
