Oly Posted May 11, 2009 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2009 Managed to find/ buy a couple of boxes of the 85gn Gamekings to see what they're like. From what I have read/heard sounds like they should be an excellent allround head for my needs, & my rifle. To be honest, as ever it seems, a lot of it is simply what you can get your hands on...which is a pain in the behind. I specifically wasn't after a ballistic tip as anything under 80gns ballistic tip don't appear to be designed for deer, and to be honest I personally wouldn't go below 90-95gn ballistic tip for deer anyway - so I figure the 85gn soft nose would be OK as it has that bit more punch/penetration.
