n8ess
Does anyone know how to set the trigger for a light touch on a Sako quad, according to the manual this can be done by pushing the trigger forward. I have tried the procedure explained below but it doesn't appear any different. Cheers Neil SINGLE-SET TRIGGER MECHANISM For use as a normal single-stage trigger, squeeze rearwards in the normal fash- ion. The trigger can also be “SET” by pushing the trigger forward until it stops. The rifle can now be fired with only a light touch. WARNING! WHEN THE TRIG- GER IS IN THE “SET” POSITION, THE RIFLE MUST BE HANDLED WITH EXTREME CARE, AS ANY SHOCK OR VIBRATION CAN DISCHARGE THE RIFLE. If the rifle is cocked, with SAFETY ON, the trigger CANNOT be put into the “SET” position. To return trigger to the “UNSET” position, the safest method is to put “SAFETY ON” or open the bolt. NOTE! When the safety is in the “ON” position it locks the trigger mechanism and the bolt. The rifle can be cocked only when the safety is in the “OFF” position. Guest varmartin
May be its not a set trigger ? Does it push forward and lock in a different possition ?
moses
Set trigger is availible on the Quad but, as an option only. If you didn't order it with one then it won't have it. ATB Moses
n8ess
That explains it then??? I assumed it came as standard as it was in the manual. That what happens when you "RTFM" (read the f*****g manual) They get more like BMW every day. Cheers for clearing that up. Neil

spanner
Nothing wrong with the standard Quad trigger, it can be adjusted down to a nice crisp 2lb pull. A Set Trigger on a field rifle is not a good idea IMHO.
