Mike C
I want to load up some 240gr GM hardcast RNFP for a 44 magnum underlever. It's got to reach out to 400yrd. Has anyone used H110 or viht N110 behind hard cast bullets, not jacketed? My normal load is 7.6-8gr viht n340 which is fantastic at shorter distances (<100yrd) but I don't think it would cut the mustard at 400yrd. Any thoughts on this one ? 🤔
Andrew
Load it hot and hard. Make sure your bore is free of copper fouling. Good luck. ~Andrew

Any thoughts on this one ? 🤔 Prior to switching to CBS5, I was using Vhit N340 in a .44mag UL with 240gn Shellhouse RNFP bullet. 10.6gn of N340 was good, have been able to hit military reactive targets out to 300m with relative ease using a Rossi 92 and open sights. As you already use N340, I’d just stoke your load up a bit (7-8gn is akin to a .44spl load I think) and compensate for drop. 400m is quite a way out.
