Well if it shoots like it looks you got a belter , thats one cracking looking musket there Mark, :o:D

It will give you a chance to get that 243AI rebarrelled now,

So then how long is it before you gonna need a new tube on this one ;)

very nice spud,what length is the barrel in an earlier post you mention 28'' but looks a bit longer in the pic's, as i'm in the process of having a 6.5 put together i look forward to your load work and exploits with the rifle.

Yea bench is in my back garden i can get out to 300-350 yards. I dont usually take to much, but i did take a basic cleaning kit this time as i was shooting in the barrel the same time.I took cleaning rod, bore guide, patches, buthes bore shine, and a chrony.

A big thanks to a few people here. Especially Col48 for helping me get things rolling and ordering the stock, Dasherman for the Action and barrel work and putting up with my constant phone calls. Also thanks to nem, varminter, 6mmbr and moses for advice and help along the way.

 

The specs turned out like this:

 

Sako 75 IV Action Trued and fettled up.

Chambered in 6.5-284 and throated for a Hornady 140grain A-Max bullet.

Pac-nor 1:8.5 F-class Barrel left at 30 inches.

Bolt handle fitted and fluted.

Action and barrel vapour blast finished.

Trigger fettled with.

Screw cut for a moddy, complete with thread protecter.

And finally a Jet-z Moddy.
