CameronWilson
I bought this on the advice of a vey experienced stalker friend who reckoned this was the best low-light scope that had ever been brought to market – but for some reason nobody could figure out had been discontinued by Swarovski. It has the minimum number of lens elements possible in order to minimise light transmission loss and the 8x56 configuration yields the perfect 7mm exit pupil. The friend in question reckoned it was the ultimate Sika scope, due to the fact that they only come out the treeline long after most other scopes have given up.Sure enough a couple of months later this scope appeared for sale and I snapped it up. Apart from looking out the window during dusk a couple of times, this scope has sat on the shelf since I bought it and I don't see it being used by me any time soon.It has what I believe is called a 4a reticle - thick posts a 3,6 and 9 o'clock. I can't give you an exact weight but it's absolutely featherlight, and would complement a lightweight stalking rifle perfectly. The glass is perfect and I'd put the scope tube at 9.75/10 if I'm being really anal - no dents or dings. My local RFD who looked at it reckoned I would get £475 for it easy – so £475 inc. P&P to your door (mainland UK only). Please note that the Swarovski shooting bag and the kitchen counter aren't included in the sale.FYI Northern Ireland isn't mainland UK and neither is Stuttgart).
