Elmerfudd
I have been given a set of Motorola CP040 walkie talkies for personal use do you know if these need to be licensed as they are not used for business
Popsbengo
Most likely business license for an allocated channel. If you can unscrew the rubber duck antenna it's unlawful to use without a license. You can own but not use. A small business license is easy to get and not a shed-load of dosh but possibly more than legal radios would cost PMR446 radios must have an antenna that cannot be removed and have very limited power output. Do some operators use unlicensed radios? Do bears defecate in arboreal environments?
