Whats wrong with them - did I mention the damn awful stock shape Exuse my ignorance but...what is the parker hale model that beat the AI in the accuracy tests and, if the stock is so bad on the AI's can it not be swapped for something better?? ds1 Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Oly, The stock on the AI AW series of rifles is bonded and screwed to the action in effect for the life of the rifle, (but not on the AE series). The badger action would seem to offer an AI action copy that can go into a Mc Millan stock - some of the Mc Millan stocks are said to suit this action better than others - needs a broad tang area. Interesting about Snipershide - if it was made in China I bet everyone would be crying "rip off", but whilst it is made in the good 'ol US of A, that seems not to be the case. Wonder if the AI patents have expired???? if AI are bashing Badger on a forum (blowing smoke) and not in court. Also interesting notion on patent...."quip pro quo" (spelling???) to give the originator a period of time to market the invention whilst putting the design in the public domain. David.
