baldie
Don't seem to get a lot of time to post anymore, but here's a nice one from last week. This is a McMillan G30 action, one of three I dropped on a while ago, and no longer made. These were the actions used in the Chris Kyle sniper rifle, and they are something else. This actually has a normal plunger ejector in the bolt face, and a secondary rear ejector that works on the rearward bolt stroke....talk about belt and braces. This one is fitted with a sassen fluted blank, in a Krieger profile [ forgot which ] and chambered in .300 win mag. Threaded M14 x 1 and has an invisible cap and my 2 port brake. Metalwork is finished in Cerakote Graphite black. The stock is a McMillan game scout. I inlet it for a CDI precision floor plate, which was then bedded in. Then the rifle was bedded into the stock. Trigger is a Timney Calvin Elite set at 1.5lbs. Rail is a Third Eye 20 moa long action unit. A nice, lightweight rifle, which should suit its purpose as a Deer/African rifle perfectly. Ronin
Thats a very good looking rifle Dave. The Mcmillan actions are superb ,,,,,if you can get them. A friend had a 270 which was shot out and traded it in for another - the dealer concerned scrapped the action

Cumbrian 1
Very nice Dave, what is the heaviest bullet these days for .30cal is it still 230/240 grains? Have you built any .300 norma chambered rifles?
baldie
I've used 240 sierra SMK's in the past Rich. Haven't done a .300 Norma yet, but I'm always willing to get any reamer a customer requires.
