markymark
Hello you helpful & knowledgable bunch, Recently took hold of a package that included a few modified .308 AICS mags. The follower has been cut and some metal spacers have been added to the rear. These were modified to seat 6BR into a .308 mag. As a result .308 no longer fits into the mag as the COAL is too long. So can anyone tell me..... Can you strip AICS mags or are they welded shut in order to take this spacer out?? If they can't be converted back to .308 is there anyone on this forum who would be interested in these 6BR AICS mag so I can purchase some other ones or a swap perhaps? Thank you in advance..... baldie
You should have sent me that pic Mark. That IS one of mine from a long time ago. The packer is bonded in with Devcon. If you slide the base plate off and take out the spring, the packer will be easily removed with a hot air gun to soften the devcon.
