kimbo65
Hi, is anyone going to make aw/ax br mags. I know they made some years ago. I thought that these would sell well in the USA as well.
baldie
The 6mmBr magazines were made for a specific model and won't work in either AX or AW actions. The rifles are quite rare. I have a mag for one, and had the chance of one of the rifles a few years back, and stupidly didn't buy it. I have a magazine conversion prototype ongoing to convert AICS 10 round mags for 6mmBr. These will work, but are some way off production yet.
justin credible
You have a very interesting hobby Kimbo65, "shooting and restoring American cars" Do you shoot all of them and then restore them, or just shoot the ones that you don't like? What do you use? Shotgun or rifle? Either way it sounds great fun!
kimbo65
their usually full of holes when I get them!

baldie
For the life of me I can't remember its name. It was a variation of the AW and had its own specific magazine.
kimbo65
Was it called a AWV 6mmbr or the cooper match?
bewsh
as it happens I have been researching this as I am in the process of building an AI clone chassis for a Tikka actioned 6mm BR midway down the page: http://forum.snipershide.info/showthread.php?t=421&page=
baldie
Thats the really rare one. Look at the action port length. I,m pretty sure the one I had a chance of was a cooper match. The mags were entirely different to the one in the pic.
Lukas_K
I´ve seen that photo before. Wonder why they shortened the entire action, too. It would bee cool if they kept the overall length and shortened only the bolt&port, lengthening the barrel tenon in turn. Suppose this saved more weight, though, as it was certainly made as a CISM swan song.
