Well,mostly so.....PRS of course does not define all shooting,and some balance is usually arrived at-but there is a range of latitude always ( ie trade offs ,as you mention..) eg currently the 7WSM is a top 1000y Bench Rest choice....the 308w isn't....it will go 1500y,but where exactly?

 

I do love the idea of "balletic" coefficients though- the Russian shot put competitors of the sixties had power,indeed,that Olga Korbut lacked,but on the gymnastic apparatus she edged it.... :-)
