mcpie
A point of note: A number of FACs issued by Police Scotland have been found not to have the relevant conditions for holding, acquiring or using expanding ammunition or missiles despite previous certificates having had that condition. I know of thirteen people in the last week discovering this (I was one of them) and they all held suitably conditioned FACs before. It would appear the condition was simply not printed. However, by singing your FAC (generally always condition no.1) you are agreeing to abide by the conditions set out - which might not include having expanding ammo! Don't be caught with expanding ammo and an unsuitable FAC, it would be ultra vires for the Police to turn a blind eye to it - even if it was their mistake. Check your FACs now, I'd also be checking FACs not issued by Police Scotland as it might be a problem with the Shogun software a number of forces are now using. SWShooter
Complain to you local SNP MP :) Do these people have fox, vermin and deer on their FAC`s? , if not why would you want expanding?
mcpie
Yes, they're all seasoned hunters and have had the condition before.

You do seem to have more trouble up there than us Sassenachs , have you called them to ask what`s going on ?
