Does anybody know if Dave Mercer is still making moderators, I am after a new one for my 17 HMR but so far have not been able to contact him.

Yes, Dave is still making them, had a quote of £175 for a full size DM804 a few weeks ago.

I have seen the OneLessCharlie mods but I would prefer a reflex design.

Have you thought about a Swift Precision Nightingale? Beautifully made by Richard Pope....strippable dedicated .17 or .22 mods. Can be converted from one to the other with the relevant bits.

 

Mine is quieter any other mod I've tried on a .17 and Richard Utting/richness thought they were good too when he reviewed it on YouTube. Cheaper than a DM80 too by the look of it.

Thanks for that Fizz but I have just ordered a new one from Dave, always been well pleased with mine in the past so happy to stay with what I know, only £90 when you buy direct as well.

 

Just need Essex plod to come through with my one for one (not looking good) and I can pick up my new rifle.
