Dura coat vs hydro dipping

I am of the understanding a clear duracoat over hydrographics is the way to go. Fellow mod Elwood has a cracking sako Finnfire that was dipped a while back and would certainly be in a position to comment on best practice.

Great thank you scotch eggy I sent you a PM

Hydro dipping is usually covered over with a good quality 2 pack automotive lacquer.

Duracoat will not wear any better than 2 pack, because its a 2 pack itself.

Dave,

Might be a silly question but is the 'sealing' clear coat available in a form that would not produce a gloss finish?

Like the idea of reapercam but not a shiney rifle?

Yes Terry, I have gloss, satin, and matt lacquers in Duracoat, and also several varieties of auto motive 2K.

I also have the flattening agent for duracoat lacquers.
