Ronin
Not really an example of precision machining (unless you count the pillars) Otherwise standard Rem 700 SPS in 22-250 Rem, with Timney trigger and one piece rail to keep the action stiff. Customer supplied a very pleasingly marbled A5 stock which they wanted bedding. I think it looks good. Scope could be better, but I'm assured the rifle is very accurate and accounts for a fair number of foxes. Once the barrel is shot I'm told it will be a 6mm BR or 243 Ackley, hence the spends on the stock - looking forwards to making that.

gbal
How heavy are they Mcmillan rifle stocks site says "2.5-4.5" lb- I'd imagine the lighter ones have no cheekpiece etc and perhaps special filling?
Ronin
The price is about what Gbal has said and the weight depends a great deal on the type of "fill" Mcmillan use or you specify at the time of order. The Sniper fill is the densest making a pretty solid stock. PSE Composites, South Staffordshire Stocks and Manners make very good alternatives to the A5

ejg223
Huge transformation alone by changing the stock, if one imagines a sps plastic stocked remmy next to this. I am always astonished how happy even a seasoned rifle shooters are when they collect their customised stick. Another one for the album Ronin. edi by the way... I am moving out into the sticks soon, saw this in the little village close by.... pretty sure I'm out far enough...
