After a duck session on Sunday, we wandered round a nearby property with apple rows/vineyards/crops and scored a couple of pheasants before lunch at the country pub. Def warm enough for shorts. Scored one of the pheasants without firing a shot- our black lab appeared out of the boundary hedgerow with a dead pheasant. It was totally warm and we hadn't wounded any so he'd obviously spotted it and grabbed it as it tried to hunker down to let him pass. Too easy.
