proper way to measure a group

dont they do things called measuring sticks for people who cant afford a verynear :blink: they are about 3 feet long if I remember :lol:

 

a 3 foot stick is not big enough for my groups do they make larger ones?

btw should,nt you be at work you cripple ;):lol:

Had a go with the ON TARGET PRECISION CALCULATOR myself last week. Simple to use from a digital photo but apparently easier if you scan the target as the software is able to determine the actual size without having to be told how big the target is. Not particularly good groups compared to that expected of a bolt gun but they were fired through my service issue L85A2 at 100m and are well within the required specification for service issue ammunition.

JUst downloaded and used this software. Cracking stuff.. :)

Ronin. The target i used had 10 holes all within a .488" group. I could only tell the software where 6 of them were. All it needs to know is where the outer holes are to calculate the group size.

 

Or was that a joke?.. ;)
