Si-Snipe
Just revieved my Mc M stock from USA. I'm in the process of sanding, pillar installations and bedding it now. It requires a little cosmetic work to remove light scratches, raised seams from the mould. The gel coat is 1-2mm thick depending on area. I'm planning on cutting it back with fine W&D then perhaps finishing with a light cutting compound. Anyone tried and tested any techniques to improve the finish before I start? Thanks Si

Si-Snipe
W & D with a T cut was going to be one of my top choices. Thanks for reinforcing that.
Grouse
Just out of curiosity, what is the reason for doing this? Surely it will "shine" more when shooting g in sunlight? Only reason I ask is that I once sold a rifle to someone for stalking and he did exactly what you are talking about - couldn't fathom out the reason? Si-Snipe
Hi buddy. Bullets recieved at my parents thanks. I've yet to collect them. The gel coat is what they use to get the nice multi colours and marbel effect I believe. .
