jay666d
I'm selling this interesting article for a friend of mine. The LandRover Forum isn't really the place to try to sell this! As well as the pictures, I've included three links to help explain what this gadget is and does! It's in used but working order. Includes batteries and pressure switches! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LLM01 http://www.hendonpub.com/resources/article_archive/results/details?id=3708 http://www.defensereview.com/new-military-grade-tactical-laser-aimerwhite-light-introduced-to-us/ The third link shows the LLM mounted to a few different weapon systems... Looks really good on an AR! *wink* George is after £475 for this, inc P&P. Also advertised elsewhere.. & not just the LandRover forum! All The Best, Jay
brown dog
We normally say 'no' to 'my mate' sales; but this unique enough to get a cricketing 'bye'. Thought someone on here would love to own it! If you want me to remove it, I understand. (I don't want to be a rule breaker!) Jay
brown dog
Jay - blimey no need to apologise! You're right, it's unique: I'm selling this interesting article for a friend of mine. Shuggy
Of course the LLM01 is on issue to the British Armed Forces. The LLM01 is itself now being replaced by the LLM Mk3. Speaking purely hypothetically of course, it's just worth mentioning that the RMP have a unit which takes a close interest in Internet sales of items which may have been <cough> liberated from official sources. jay666d
They said the same thing about Personal Role Radios... But every other 'Airsofter' has one anyway!
GunsmithDolphinholme
Shuggy they stopped the role out of LLM Mk3. Cant remember what the issue was but there was something wrong. Yeah the MOD take a very dim view of these being sold, along with body armour etc. We have just had a lad done at work. Not worth the time in colchester or my pension. But nice issue batteries as well, you know if you take a set of pliers to the top metal disk you can take that plastic coating of and reveal a energiser battery. They also then don't get stuck in your LLM and easier to change.

jay666d
I was serving, I'm out now. I transferred from REME Armourer to Signals a Operator. I was at Bordon 2000/01. (I'm not 100%, but I seem to remember someone saying we were one of the 1st courses to do the 105!)
GunsmithDolphinholme
You don't do 105 on Basic course, only as Class 1 when you do examination of ordnance and start taking impressions and viewing of barrels etc. Im just waiting to sign off, broke both my legs a few years ago. Got fully fit but starting to feel it now and can't keep up with the young wiper snappers, but I'm renovating a property, so when thats near finished and I'm eligible for my half pension which is jan. Im off the new pension scheme is pretty poor in comparison. That the LLM on ebay now?

jay666d
Ah, right... I'm getting a bit confused. I know that they joined two courses together, Armourer & Gun Fitter. I was never any good with tolerances! So much so I had to do part of the course twice, so I have two of the G-Clamp, Adjustable & oil filter wrench that we had to make! I got out before I was due my half pension... But it was because of a family crisis! (All sorted now thankfully!) No, I've not put it on eBay. If no one is interested in it, than I'll leave George to decide what he wants to do with it.

GunsmithDolphinholme
Hahah, yeah the bench fitting there is a joke, I worked for a machining company and did a diploma prior to joining so I breezed most of it and didn't have todo alot of it as was already holding the same quals you get on a tiffy course. Yeah thats correct they did join both the gun fitter course and small arms together. Think I'm one of the only remaining few qualed up and actual done a turret lift on a chally 2. lifting 22 tones thats an odd shape can be a little tricky. Well hope you get it sold. There not bad bits of kit for such a small compact size.

I'll stick to my long range gongs & occasional lamping!
