Dac9976
Hi Mark Think they only do military version, Arcadia, fort brag etc. Was after their hunting version, Sierra. Had a pair of Arcadias in my forces days, a hard wearing and well made boot. I can't believe there's no real outlet for them in the uk! Cheers Danny. Cheers Danny. tbh i prefer the lowa montain gtx, but they've trashed my feet with the gortex...... the danners remind me of the usa matterhorns, they never fit properly as they were to narrow so you had to have half size bigger and then they went soft, i preferd the pro boot at the time.... Dac9976
I've had two pairs of black islanders, the old type and the new. Both have leaked! I would expect a boot that cost over £200 to last longer than a year lol. Cheers Danny.

bradders
I've hd 2 pairs of Danner Recons, great boots. First pair lasted me nearly 10 years, mostly range use. Second pair I had to get resoled after a couple of years. Not 100% waterproof now, but I do use them pretty hard. Many of Danners boots are now made in China and that does seem to affect QC. Expensive but good, although next time around I may go for Altbergs
