Just get another slot for a .22 & buy an dedicated upper ( I take it you are talking bout an AR platform ) ... The .22lr will rattle down the barrel of a .223 .. Swamp Donkey Posted June 28, 2014 Report Share Posted June 28, 2014 If you have a slot to aquire a .223 rifle, yes you can get a straight pull, the .22lr conversions are s/a and will need a .22lr slot too, though I'm unsure how it will eventually be classed as on your fac.
