caerhays sniper
Just wondering if anyone has any data for this combo? or with the 120gr Amax. Regards Jim
jcampbellsmith
Hornady and Nosler don't list anything. For 100gr bullets, Berger lists a starting load of 40.5 and a max load of 45.2. Regards JCS
caerhays sniper
Cheers I was informed between 45-46 would be a max load.
caerhays sniper
What other powder would you recomened for the 95 ? I was thinking of trying Vit 140 I also have some Cfe 223 that hogdon lists some loads for it on their site. And info from people using this bullet would be great the r17 didn't seem to be tight enough for my liking. Regards Jim

jcampbellsmith
N140 is listed in the Hornady manual against the 95-100 gr bullets for the 260 Rem with a max of 41.4 gr. What 6.5shooter says above is also in the Hornady manual. Regards JCS

caerhays sniper
The hogdons powder are hardly worth trying I use mostly vit now as it's easy to come get hold of. I do happen to have a pot of the cfe 223 though so may use some of that aswell as the
Blaserman
Hi, I run 95g V-Max in my 6.5x47 for vermin at 3230fps, in all my shooting with all calibres from the fast .20's and fast .22's, I have never seen as much destruction from a solid hit on pigeons and rabbits, it virtually liquidises them at 200yds and dismembers them at 300yds plus. I hope not to offend anyone with the above post, but I thought it necessary to mention the distructive behaviour of the 95g V-Max, Best Regards, Mark
