CZV Manfrotto carbon fibre tripods work very well for many optical applications.
terryh
The Frots are nice, the quick adjust head's a good upgrade. If you can get hold of one the Bushnell item devoped for the US military is a step on from the Frot IMHO. T
CZ Varminter
I am looking at the carbon fibre manfrotto pods very nice but pricey also, love the pistol grip mech too.
ds1
A reasonable compromise of weight, stability and cost seems to be the Vangard carbon Geo series with a Manfrotto head….386 or 486 and standard RC2 adapter plate.
CZ Varminter
Like the look of the monfrotto pod with a heavy duty pistol grip head. Wish list has been updated.

CZ Varminter
Lmao I make my own mate and they, are very very stable. Don't like the plastic stick for many a reason, but they do the job. Can't be doing with them breaking or bending, can't put bolts through them, which something else annoys me about these expensive quad sticks they all break as people are putting weak points in the wood by drilling a hole through the middle of them!? Anyway rant over, I was thinking more for spotting scope and LDRF. CZV
