mo3
As above 6.5 55 Ackley or 260 rem which one do you rate I use 65 Ackley at the moment your views please
The Gun Pimp
The 6.5x55 Ack was the fore-runner of the 6.5-284. Although slightly less capacity - it's useable and gives excellent accuracy/velocity out to 1000 yards. It will easily outperform the 260 Rem. The only drawback was the lack of 'off the shelf' dies but I think it's possible to get them now. Also Lapua 6.5x55 brass is quite cheap.
dannywayoflife
I'm thinking of going AI when I rebarrel it's the dies the put me off though.
Grouse
currently have and use both. The Swede imp is in a sako 75 long action, am weighing up my options on whether to sell or keep and rebarrel. Unsure what to rebarrel it to though (any suggestions)? Though the fireforming loads were super accurate, I did find it a flaff fireforming. The 260rem is very good now - after scope issues! Vermin doesn't seem to know a difference.
