Water melon as suppressor

Has anybody tried to use a large fruit such as a watermelon or squash as a suppressor in a war zone scenario ?

Never tried fruit but have tried drinks bottle aka "shooter" style on my 22 it worked ok

If you use a banana it helps to curve the bullets for shooting around corners pretty useful for CQB

i know for a fact that if you shoot through a pineapple you get grenade launcher
