DaveT
Just taken delivery of a really worthwhile upgrade from Davey at Shooting Shed. My original XLR stock was a real 'pain' regarding the stock cheekpiece adjustment...it has a single pivotal screw to secure the height and required an allen key and lots of 'fiddling' to get the right setting. In addition it rocked to and fro about the screw. Daveys mod cures all that and requires no tools to adjust or repeat the height setting. I am a very happy owner now! Not sure if he wants to produce more but any XLR owners would be pleased I think.

DaveT
Attached picture...had to compress it to load..hopefully not too small to see detail!!! Basically the original cheekpiece mounting is left in place so you can revert to original if required. A new mount and cheekpiece is added which allows vertical adjustment via a 1.5mm increment ratchet and clamp mechanism ,, fore and aft adjustment ofthe unit and/or cheekpiece and cant adjustment via another locking clamp. Hard to see in teh pic but quite elegant as a soluition. Full marks to Davet at Shooting Shed
