MJR
I have a McMillan sako stock with I really like but the cheek weld is way too low. I've tried comb raisers of the strap and Velcro variety and the height req'd to get proper eye/scope alignment is too tall and leaves the raiser unstable. Is it possible to make the stock adjustable and fit an adjustable comb? And does anyone know anyone doing this to McMillan stocks? Thanks.
trucraft
Couple of options. If you want cheaper DIY fit you could try these http://www.snipercentral.com/karsten.htm Not sure anyone stock them in UK or not. Or ask a good gunsmith or skilled mill operator to fit the hardware http://staffs-synthetic-stocks.co.uk/components.shtml

Orka Akinse
MJR When I got my Sako McMillan stock (the one you've seen me use) I explored the possibility of an aftermarket fit comb raiser and I was told by McMillam it was a no no based on the way they [McMillan] make their stocks hence I went for what I can only describe as a very poor (read crap) "saddle" design from McMillan that was manufactured in. This was sometime ago so I don't know if they have rethought their policy/strategy. ATB OA
Jagged 77
The Karsten is a good way to go, pretty cheap, easy to install and very solid (I got the non quick adjust). Roger at SYSS brought a few in but no idea if he's got any left.
