benny243
good morning, I posted a question on here last week and was surprised what a helpful bunch you are, so il ask another my .243 heavy barrelled Remington is getting a bit tired now and was thinking of rebarrlling rather than buying a new rifle as it fits me a treat and im used to the way it handles, so I thought a straight forward swap for another .243 barrel but then I started reading all your posts and realised that the world of calibres isn't just limited to the usual suspects, so iv read up on the 6mmbr and it seems you get the same performance with less powder less barrel wear and a bit more accuracy, now can any of you enlighten me as to the down sides as I cant find any, but I am surprised that I cant find any factory rifles chambered in this calibre or havnt they caught on to it yet many thanks benny

benny243
thanks for the info. iv just had a look on accurate shooter g ball and the more I read on it the better it looks. gun gimp that's a good idea to go with the savage but id like to keep the Remington action and stock as iv used it for years and I get on really well with it. dannyt I havnt seen much on the 6xc but is it awkward to reload for i.e forming brass and all that? benny243
cheers for the link jcambellsmith but now you really got my brain frazzled haha it looks a cracking cartridge but will many people be able to chamber a barrel in that calibre and will brass be easier to get hold of in 6mmbr

Danpd
Take a look at 6x47 Lapua, better brass than the 6XC and more balls than the 6BR.
