On /over the limit,(105 eg) it can be an individual rifle issue-if others have found Sako OK in the same model rifle, probably ok...

Gandy
I had the exact gun and it would not shoot any 100grn bullets at all. 90grn Sakos were mustard in it though.
Gunsgobang88
Hi, Howa .243's are well known for likeing heavier bullets, anything any heavier than 90gr in expanding or 70gr match bullets can be unstable, Alan
Tony1954
My 243 Howa Varmint shoot best with a light bullet 70-80gn , when shot with 100gn I just cannot get a good group. Tony

rabbit fingers
Its not weight thats the problem but length. Measure them, if they are the same or shorter than anything that shoots in your gun already you stand a chance. The 100gr sierra pro hunters are pretty short. The 100gr sierra pro hunters are pretty short. a std 1-10 will handle pretty much any bullet from 55 -100 grns. The pro hunter mentioned is awesome in my present .243 and a good choice on medium deer. Bullets like the twin cores 100 grn Partition and their like are not designed for benchrest type groups but one shot kills on out size quarry penetrating deep through heavy flesh and shoulders. This is were the "wont shoot 100grn" myth comes from. I think the Sako bullets are twin cores?
woodydog
Hi I have tried the Sako 100grn and they were not bad but not as good as the 70grn Fiocchi or the 90grn Privi, but good enough if I use them for deer and the price was good at £15 a box. Thanks for all the replys . Woodydog.
