andybrock
I've got a Nightforce scope on evil bay at the moment and I've had 2 enquiries from people abroad one from Italy and one from Germany are there any restrictions to stop me posting scopes abroad? Strangely Brown
I've got a Nightforce scope on evil bay at the moment and I've had 2 enquiries from people abroad one from Italy and one from Germany are there any restrictions to stop me posting scopes abroad? A lot of Ebayers wont post to Italy because of non delivery problems, I have posted to Germany in the past without problems.
bradders
Not entirely sure but I believe there is export control on things like optics. A call or email to the relevant Gov Dept should clear it up for you I found this, take it for what it is... http://www.swillingtonshootingsupplies.co.uk/store/content/125/Export-of-Rifle-Scopes/

Thanks Andy I read similar on the BIS (formerly DTI) website, and if it's dual use (Mil/Civ) you definitely need a license, but the whole thing looks like a minefield. I'd keep well away unless you wish to do the paperwork
NICK
I noticed on Swillington Shooting Supplies Web Site that they say any Scope over X4 mag needs an Export License. Make of this what you will. Hope it is off some use. Nick.
