I've got a Nightforce scope on evil bay at the moment and I've had 2 enquiries from people abroad one from Italy and one from Germany are there any restrictions to stop me posting scopes abroad?

A lot of Ebayers wont post to Italy because of non delivery problems, I have posted to Germany in the past without problems.

Not entirely sure but I believe there is export control on things like optics.

A call or email to the relevant Gov Dept should clear it up for you

I found this, take it for what it is...

I thought I had read it somewhere, hopefully my foreign bidders will get outbid!

Thanks

I read similar on the BIS (formerly DTI) website, and if it's dual use (Mil/Civ) you definitely need a license, but the whole thing looks like a minefield.

I'd keep well away unless you wish to do the paperwork
