ChrisF
Hi Guys , Need info on the actual rail thats bolted on the top of the German G22 AWM 300WM rifle , it looks like a std zero cant AI Pitcanny rail , BUT is IT , or is it a special 20 moa canted rail ? The reason I ask is the Hensoldt scope they run , looks like it has a limited amount of E on the knob , so it would appear the mating of the Hensoldt Zf 3-12x56 SSG-P to the AWM rifle is rather critical , so the 11.2 mil knob has a full 11.2 of adjustment / Cheers Chris

Dr. Strangelove
The G22 has a 20 MOA rail. Any other AI questions just fire away!

ChrisF
Yeap , that basically aligns with what the manual says , it does not mention a actual number of moa cant , BUT does say that the scope needs to be mounted on a forward canted rail . the scope appears to have very limited elevation adjustment , of around 11 mils single turn knob , when zeroed on the correct canted rail & rifle etc , the windage knob has only 2 mils L & R . The scope has a neat internal indictor , that once set , shows the amount of Elevation you have dailled IN . marker moves from 0-11 mils on a scla einside the scope , so its always in veiw while looking thru the scope , the scope is the Hensoldt ZF 3-12x56 SSG-P scope . Thanks for the INFO , just one Question , can I order a AWM with that 20 moa rail fitted , as the std pitcanny rail on the AWs are zero cant ? ChrisF
Just do a serch for either G22 AI rifle or Hensoldt 3-12x56 SSG-P . It seems to be put together with a veiw of using a front mounted NV unit called the NSV80 ( again made by Zeiss ) in front of the day 3-12 Heny . The 1st SSG scopes only had 7 mils of Up & no parallex , the SSG-P model has 11 mils of up and 2 mils L&R . Guys that have mounted the SSG-P on the std flat AI pitcanny rail on AWs have only gotten about 7mils of up & para . So in short the SSG-P has limited amount of E & W , compared with current Tac scopes etc . Later Chris
ChrisF
Here's some pics of the G22 AI AWM-F 300WM sniper rifle , also see pics of the 1st & 2nd hensoldts used on them , the SSG & SSG-P , the one with 4 knobs is the SSG-P , all knobs are on the RH side of the scope , mounting rail incorparated into the body , clamping lever is on the LH side of scope body , uses 2x AA batteries . On one of the pics side on you can see the NV rail & the detached NV optic , NSV80 laying on the table by the G22 rifle . Also see a couple of pics showing the Elevation indicator .
