I had a shocking 1100 yards a total train wreck :o

Thankfully had a better day on Sunday.

Thankfully, Sunday was a more normal sort of day.

Saturday was just diabolically difficult.

Seriously, very testing conditions, hamstrung myself with schoolboy error, pulled out the mire by Ian (thanks mate)

 

Despite performance, it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

It's the first time I have ever mentally given up shooting halfway through a detail (1200 yards) and the first time I have ever contemplated pulling out of a competition, oh and bouncing 3K's worth of scope on the floor didn't help.

Oh dear, yes that sounds pretty dire. Hope the scope's ok. I'll let you know when there's another training day coming up.

It was like that for us at the start of june. Gusting 4-18 mph with a marker that hadn't got a clue either which didn't help. We packed up out of frustration.
