Hi,

Just wondering if anyone ahs had any experience with the Leupold VX-3 8.5-25x50mm LRT and the Varmint reticle? I can get the scope at a very good price direct from the USA so wondered how they compare to other makes. Ive had a few leupolds and have found them to be very good.

Good Morning,

I don't have the scope in question but I have 2 Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x40 LRT with the varmint hunter reticle and they are absolutely superb. Excellent focus, clear picture out to 400 yrds (probably further, but haven't shot them that far), positive clicks, holding zero etc. I shall be selling one of mine soon, so if you are interested let me know,

best wishes,

Finman

I have a 6.5x20 and a 8.5x25. They both track very well and return to zero with no problem. Furthest i shoot is 900 yards and they work a treat.

Down sides to me are terrible poor light performance and the eye relief varies with magnification.

If you are target shooting or daylight vermin/deer they work well.

Nick.
