tony
I have just purchased a new box of Lapua cases in 6.5x55, should I neck size them and de burr them first before I load them up or just load them without working on them at all. Scotch_egg
I like to neck size and chamfer the necks inside and out. Lapua brass should not need the primer pockets de-burrring from experience.
Grouse
ID and OD de-burr necks, resize, primer pocket uniform, and flash hole de-burr for me. Even the quality on Lapua is not as good as used to be. If you are after accuracy, see no reason why you wouldn't carry out all the above seeing as though you have spent a fortune on quality? tony
Thanks guys, would it be wise to lube the inside of the case neck to resize. Tony.
Andrew
Thanks guys, would it be wise to lube the inside of the case neck to resize. Tony. If the die set has an expander ball, I'd say yes. As a practice, I FL resize and trim all of my new brass before loading. That way I know that each case, dimensionally speaking, is as uniform as I can get it before I start loading.~Andrew
