Thanks guys but i don’t think i have put this over very well, what i need to know is not just what you use but the procedures you do it in such as do you turn the laser off before you clean if you are in the field if say you have rain drops on the lens.

Hi I use at work PELTOR individually wrapped moist wipes. These are somewhere between a piece of paper and cloth and are relatively dry to the touch. They are suitable for all sorts of lenses and coatings so can be safely used on lasers or other optical devices. You can buy a box of 500 I think it is, for very reasonable money. Ideal for de-bugging motorcycle visors as well.

Yes turn the device off before commencing cleaning.

that man knows his stuff!and if its quit you can roll a fat one and chill!

dont use your laser if its raining water on the lens will ruin the unit if switched on i keep mine covered with a plastic bag secured with a laggy band if it looks like rain.when you need to use it it only takes a few seconds to whip it off.
