They are not trimmed/pointed at all, but it would be nice if Lapua would do it by default. 🙃

You have a older batch of 180 L's, you would be hard pushed to see the difference in meplat between them and Berger 180 Hybrids or VLD with the newer Scenar 180 L's.

I did a test with pointing the older 180 L's, with very pointed, normally pointed and not pointed. I shot them at 1000 yards and there wasn't any difference in the point of impact.

  3. I had a look through a T Ceptor about a week ago, I was totally blown away by it, amazing detail. Admittedly it was only  put against a couple of early Pulsar spotters and a new Iray spotter which was actually very good, but in my opinion the T Ceptor left them all for dead (which it should). I was also very supprised by the small size of it .

I've read a lot about people going back to digital and tubed night vision after not being able to get good target recognition with thermal rifle scopes, so I have been some what skeptical about such scopes, not anymore.

There's a heavy price and regrettably it's to much for my pocket, but Im glad I looked through one.

  4. All good info here, but lets keep it civil please. I'm really not interested in he said, I said, he said, it will just get deleted.

I think it's great to experiment and you can certainly learn a lot, like I did with the 6mm Crusader. Certainly a lot of work case forming but I enjoyed the learning process and the end result was amazing.

However as others have said, there are probably better options for a small case cartridge, my two choices would be the 22BR or 20BR, there's plenty of load data, plenty of components and plenty of people with experience of the calibers.

Popped to my local shop and was told that I should be getting my C50 middle to end of next week.

I took advantage of a Black Friday deal and put my name down for one, so the above is hopefully good news.
