So the UK warrantied units are selling or likely to sell at £530

yet people are buying from the states at 500 and incurring import duties and vat to the tune of over 100

Non UK importer supplied units are not covered by warranty in this country and no doubt they will have serial number so easily verified

Am I missing something as why it is sensible or even an intelligent option to buy outside the uk ?

In my case Andy it was to sell my Labradar before the resale value crashed, which it surely will when the Garmin arrives in the UK.

second hand Labradars were selling for £400 - £450, the cheapest I have seen  for sale is recently was £250, that's a big hit when you paid £600 plus for one.

The Garmin is 100% worth getting if you use a chronograph frequently.

I have two f open rifles with tuners I’ve never moved them from zero ones a 300wsm the other is a 7=270 wsm both shoot really well. What I’m interested in what’s the latest thinking wether the tuner is set in front of the crown or behind  it’s on any adjustment?
Mine both sit in front but I’ve noticed the Americans all sat back behind the crown.

Carbon build up that you can't see easily or remove without taking the tuner off.

  4. I've been shooting a .313 neck Shehane for years. I use a 6.5 expander on Lapua brass and then a 7mm, I use a coated expander and Imperial sizing wax applied on the inside of the neck with a cotton bud, less force is good.

If you going to use a PMA cutter then get their expander to match the pilot they supply, the PMA tool is very good, again it's what I use.

I turn to 12.5 and use a .307 or .308 bushing and then use a expander, this gives me a loaded round of .309

Dies, I use Newlon blanks, ask who ever is doing the work if they have the resize reamer.

They are extremely accurate fire forming, one of the most accurate rifles I have ever seen was someone fire forming Shehane brass. I used to fire form using cheap PPU ammo and Trail boss powder, unfortunately now unavailable. If I'm just shooting into a back stop I jam them, if I'm using them for practice I sit the bullet where it wants to be. Run a mild load as you're not doing much to fire form the case just blowing the side walls out 10 thou, look for 2850 fps.

  5. I’m certainly no expert on tuners, but most people think they are an accuracy upgrade, which they can be. More importantly though they allow you to keep your accurate barrel in tune in varying conditions, ie hot and cold. They also allow you to do it on the range and if you have too during a competition.

I still do a proper load development, charge weight, seating, primer, neck tension before finally running a tuner test, most of my tuners are set on 0 where it was when I was doing my load development.

Disclaimer, no I haven’t watched the video.
