  1. Morning all,

Just after someone to give me a rough value for a these as trying to get an idea of how much I'd need to add to upgrade to a S&B.

1: Delta Stryker ED 4.5-30x56 HD FFP IR Mil Mil Zero Stop Locking Turret Rifle Scope - DLR-1

Around 2 years old. Very good condition.

Still have factory box and Sun Shade.

Would come with Tenebraex Objective and Ocular covers.

2: American Defense AD-RECON-SW 34mm STD Long Saddle 20 MOA Quick Detach 1 Piece Unimount

Also around 2 years old. Very good condition. Some slight marks from loctite overspill which will probably clean off.

  2. I used a Tab Gear SAS3 with my last rifle, which in theory shouldn't take any unexpected journies towards the target. I'm waiting to order another one for my new rifle soon.

Reduction in mirage over longer or more frequent strings of fire is the primary objective of such a cover, however they come with the added benefit of not getting an ouchy hand if you touch your mod too soon after firing.

The negative I guess is that it will take the mod longer too cool between strings.

I used the SAS3 so that I could quickly remove it from the mod after a string to allow it to cool quickly, then simply pull it back over the mod when I started shooting again without having to undo/replace any velcro or buckles.

Other decent brands are Cole Tac and Praesidia as above.

  3. For Sale: Eberlestock G1 Little Brother and A4SS Tactical Weapon Carrier - Military Green (No Splits at this time)

Condition: As New, has only had 3 trips to the range.

Price: £225 posted in UK. Originally purchased for £415.

Whilst this is a fantastic bit of kit, it's not really suited to the disciplines I shoot and would probably find better use with those of you that hunt.

Included pictures with my kit still inside so you can get an idea of size. Fits a full length AI AT .308 24" no issues.

  4. Sorry to revive an old thread.. figured it'd be better than posting a new one.

I too am looking at joining NRA to shoot a few times at Bisley but have a couple questions.

I am member of a HO Club and have an NRA SCC through them. However due to shifts and general range availability at the moment with the military using their ranges more (how very dare they), I'm lucky if I get to shoot once every other month.

My question is, I've just bought an AI AT and want to gather some data for it.

Does Bisley have the facility for me to book an hour at 200, 400, 600 and 800 for example on the same day?

  5. So ive been wondering the same thing for my .308 24" 1/12 twist AI AT, only I use factory ammo.

From what I've read the 178gr Hornady ELDM BTHP should be fine? Right? That's what I was using in my Tikka Tac A1 before I upgraded and that was only based on it grouped best at 100m compared to the other factory rounds I tried.. which wasn't many.

I've always wondered what the difference was between the BTHP and the ones with the red plastic tip (from a quick google i think these are the AMax youve mentioned?)... is one inheritantly more consistent than the other?

Any other factory loads you'd recommend?

So far I've tried the 178gr ELDM BTHP, 155gr Superformance International and some S&B 155gr cheap ammo which i used to zero, break in and plink at 100m.

Unfortunately my RFD doesn't really stock anything else so I'd have to request them order in something else for me.. hence I'd like a good steer in the right direction so I'm not constantly asking them to order in different rounds.
