Yeah 😊
Saucepan aren't allowed with the new rules 🤣.
LPSC is a great club and we have great COF's

Try Spud or march scopes

Mik at Dolphin precision engineering sells barrel vices.

Eley Tenex ,Eley Match or Centre x are good choices..
R50 wasn't good in my CZ452..
Your voodoo will be more consistent with the match chamber and custom barrel..
My factory barrel is very picky

I checked my 284 today to see how the 162gr eldx's zero was.. left to right wind got up..
Off a bipod and bean bag.
Not bad for 2421 shots.
I might try some seated 3 thousandths longer and see if it tightens up the group..
This load would shoot smaller.

Some ftr shooter launch the 155.5s 3150fps out of their 32 inch barrels

If I were you I shoot the best ammo which normally gives the best results..
I like watching pursuit of accuracy.
Josh tests everything

The saum will be a bit punchy with a 26 inch barrel.
If you use a muzzle brake would help..
The 26 inch barreled 284 is a bit lively without a mod or a brake..
Much nicer with one or the other on though..
The T3 terminator brake tames it right down.

Hannams may have had some juggs come in..
I think somebody recently on the gbfca moved on a couple thousands of them.
It's worth a wanted advert.
-
It looks very jump tolerant with a consistent poi.
2.295

7mm with a 1 in 8.25 barrel and 180gr plus bullet..
Awesome cartridge..
A 284 or a saum

Hi all,
I’m thinking about getting into long range shooting and wanted to ask what your thoughts are on the best calibre for this.
I know it might be a question with lots of different answers, so to narrow it down some, I’ll probably be shooting at 400 and 600 and 1,000 metres. I can reload my own ammunition.
I spoke to some experienced members of my club and they recommended .308, they are quite old school , and while that’s not a bad thing, I wanted to ask on here for other options.
I did mention the 6.5 mm calibre and the response was that this is more of a trend/fashion thing, not exactly sure about this.
Im asking as I’ll need to put in for a variation on my FAC.
Thanks all.

That's better known as magnumitis 😊

I've still not tried the 6.5 cal 140gr eldms..
What's your opinion of them..
I tried a few 130s and didn't finish the load development as yet..
If they shoot as good as the 140gr amaxs I'll like them.

After asking an expert rifling varies from about 2 thousandths and more..
A 7mm barrel rifling depth is 3.5 thousandths.
About 4 thousandths for a 30 cal think
-
According to my bal cal the 140gr hybrids were doing 2757fps out of my 24 inch barrel.
41.5grs of RS62 comes up the neck..
If I pour it slowly it settles down better..
A drop tube would be better as the powder would compress less..
I double stroke the press arm to make sure bullet is seated right down.

6.5x47

I'm not sure what class it would be...
Bipod,optics over 4 mag.
The LPSC is a practical rifle club who wins the Methuen Cup more often than not..
Bradders team beat us a few times..
I shot in the Methuen once but its not for me.

It's harder to shoot it well this time of the year..it was overcast this morning and very little mirage so that helped..
I have a technique that works well for me..
I've had 6v's 4a's a couple of times at 300yds.
It's been bloody roasting this afternoon.
I wouldn't of shot it very well this afternoon

We use the 1 inch vbull.
A 4 inch vbull is way to big.
Used my 24 inch 6.5x47 and 140gr hybrids over 41.5grs of RS62
