That’s what I wondered, just seemed to be a weird issue so wasn’t sure if it was the bolt.

I wondered about the S&W mags, but wasn’t sure if I needed (or should try) the Boonie Packer 

*edit* Ok so I don’t think the boonie will work with a tac sol. I wonder if it’s simply ammo, I’ve realise I was running club in it today and moderated, rather than action / contact that I normally use so I bet it just didn’t have the oomph to cycle properly.
 

My mind just went to bolt / chamber issues as it’s resetting the trigger and ejecting fine, just the next round feed which isn’t happening correctly.

I’ve ordered a steel lips black dog to see if it helps

edit2: It’s not ammo as I’ve had the issue on the first round

I have a very old tacsol ar15, cheap and cheerful and good fun.

At the moment every few rounds it’s refusing to fully load a round, in that the trigger clicks, I wait 30s, drop the mag, pull the charging handle and I can see the round protruding 1/2 way out of the chamber. Letting the charging handle go seats the round and it will fire fine. 

I have stripped cleaned and oiled everything. 

I’m using it with the blackdog mags it came with, plastic lipped versions and I am wondering if they might be the problem, or Is it more likely something else?

I bought these for my .300PRC not realising that the ESS chassis has to be milled out to use the longer mags. 
I’d rather avoid the hassle and just single load to be honest!

I do actually have a sling stud adapter from my tactical which I will never use, but I am not sure if they are compatible with the evolution or not

MDT FDE 18” no rail forend

has been fitted but not used or outside. Unfortunately my barrelled action arrived 2” shorter than anticipated so I’ve had to downsize to the 15” version.

I've removed the sling point (included) and it has had a short rail fitted and removed but it is in excellent overall condition

One-offs are never a problem. Coming up with a size that would fit a range of barrel profiles and what tuner thread they could accept could be a bit of a challenge.

Getting them cnc machined would be the easy bit.

I’d definitely be interested. Could you come up with something which rather than being threaded, used some sort of sleeves to get 95% of the fit and then tightened down? 

This is a bit weird as I stumbled down the rimfire tuner rabbit hole over Christmas and only just came across this. 
I’ve just got some 0.1 and 0.3mm washers (buggered if I could find peel washers this side of the pond) to see if I can “tune” using my mod on my RPRR.

At the end of the day my [lack of] ability will far outweigh any gains from a tuner in the real world but I’m really intrigued
