  1. Like Andrew and DogyRog I've been shooting 44mag for over 40 years, S&W model 29 pistol back in the sensible days, 8gr of Unique was an excellent load with a 200gr cast bullet.

Nowadays I run 2 Henry BigBoys, their preferred bullet is a 240gr RNFP from ShellHouse Bullets sized at .430 over 6.2gr of GM3, a nice accurate load.

I also use a case mouth flaring die and separate bullet seating and factory crimping dies.

  2. Not all scopes are ITAR restricted, only scopes with electronic image enhancement or those specifically designed for use by the military.  Scopes for use on sporting firearms are not restricted.

Optics Planet for example will ask you to sign a US DOC certificate stating the end destination, this is free of charge.  Many other suppliers don't.

    Here's the relevant info,

    Go to 121.1, Category I, Section (f):

    (f) Riflescopes manufactured to military specifications (See category XII(c) for controls on night sighting devices.)
  3. Seeing RePete's post reminded me I have one sitting doing nothing!.

Lee Precision melting Pot (used once)

5 sets of S/Steel disks to make up the inserts

    Temperature gauge and 2x probes

Approx: 500g of Sodium Nitrate (can't find the Sodium Nitride)

£60 posted (heavy due to the s/steel plates)

    Update:

Also found the tub of ready mixed salts I have, approx: 650g, mix is 500g NaN03 to 333g KN03

  4. One sold already!

Due to change in reloading requirements I have the following for sale.

1 x Lee Load Master Progressive Press

               Press-1.jpg

               Press-2.jpg

Comes with shell plate, case feeder tubes and case collator, these can enable you to easily krank out 100rnds in about 10-15mins :)

Currently fitted with a  No.11 shell plate for 44 Mag., 44 Special, 45 Colt, 50 AE

    I also have the following,

    No.4 shell plate for 222, 223, 300AAC Blackout, 32 Auto etc.

    No.19 shell plate for 9mm Luger, 40 S&W, 38 Super etc.

I will also include whatever I have in the way of spare parts (new and never needed)

Ideally collection from Durham but I can post at cost.

Given they include the case feeders and collators I think £100 each is a decent price.

Please note: They do not come with the Lee metal bench mounting plate currently fitted.

    (Also advertised elsewhere)

  5. Velocities were about 100fps lower than Vihts published data for the 139 Scenar (nearest weight).  Laurie Holland has a few posts on here about the effects of small primer brass on velocities which are well worth a read (as is everything else he posts!!).

The Nosler 140s came out at a 5 shot average of 2496fps, I've got some Murom KVB223-M magnum primers being picked up for me at the Shooting Show so I'll start load development again with those and chrono a few loads next week if I get the chance.

Seating depth with the Nosler 140s is 2.317" and 2.327" to give a 30 or 20 thou" jump, measured to the ogive, COAL is 2.815" or 2.825"
